Welcome Grace

Yes, it's happening in 2023 and we're excited!!

Excited to share the latest news about next year's Emancipation Art Exhibition. We are having an assistant intern help curate the exhibit.

A collaboration with the HBHAS and the School of Advanced Studies in the Arts & Humanities (SASAH) at Western University welcomes Grace Dilawri. Grace is our 1st (paid) assistant intern. She will help curate the 2023 Emancipation Art Exhibition with Kara Bruce, Art Curator of Helson Gallery, and myself.

After a lot of paperwork, now behind us, to make sure this will happen next summer Grace is going to have tremendous support from our team for her experiential learning internship. We will document as much as we can to inspire other 3rd-year University students to apply for internships.

I'd like to send a big shout-out to artist Amber Carroll for connecting the HBHAS with Dr. Barbara, Assistant professor Experiential Learning Coordinator, SASAH Program. And thank you Dennis Scott for your continued support of #youth #diversity #inclusion #art and #culture.

If you're an artist interested in exhibiting with the HBHAS Emancipation Art Exhibition next summer please do get in touch with me at francescadurham@gmail.com.

We will have a juried show in the Helson Gallery next summer. More details coming soon.
