CCAH Black History Month Art Exhibits

The Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton (CCAH) Annual Black History Month Art Exhibition celebrates the richness and diversity of Afro-Caribbean culture in the Halton Region. Rooted in the CCAH’s mission to promote unity in diversity, the exhibition invites artists to explore themes that reflect shared values of Education, Culture, Community, and Harmony. Each year’s collection offers vibrant expressions of identity, heritage, and belonging, encouraging dialogue, deepening cultural understanding, and showcasing the creative strength that flourishes within our communities.

The theme “Harmony” guided this year’s exhibition for the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton. It invited artists to explore balance between past and present, tradition and innovation, individuality and community. Through painting, sculpture, photography, and textile works, each artist interpreted Harmony as both a personal and collective pursuit. The exhibition became a conversation about coexistence, resilience, and shared humanity. As we look ahead to next year’s theme, “Out of Many Cultures, One People,” we continue to honour the rhythms that connect us celebrating unity within diversity and the beauty that comes togehter when many voices create one song.
