Talent, Arts & Culture
For over a decade, my practice has operated across talent development, visual arts, and community programming. I weave together cultural identity and organizational strategy to create experiences that connect people whether through curating a regional art exhibition or building an inclusive recruitment strategy.
The Foundation
I spent years in recruitment and workforce development, helping organizations find the right people and create cultures where everyone belongs. Simultaneously, I have spent nearly a decade curating exhibitions that celebrate Afro Caribbean identity and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.
What ties this work together is the belief that every person, if walking into a job interview or standing in front of a painting, deserves to be truly seen.
Leadership & Mentorship
As the former Vice-Chair of the Halton Black History Awareness Society, I've led the annual Emancipation Art Exhibition for 9 consecutive years. My curatorial practice is grounded in deep collaboration and mentorship with established leaders, including Judy Daley, Kara Bruce (Helson Gallery), and Joan Butterfield (Association of African-Canadian Artists).
I was also part of the SASAH internship pilot program in collaboration with Western University, providing hands-on learning in exhibition planning and curatorial research for emerging cultural leaders.

This exploration of growth and ancestral memory serves as a pilot for the necessity of dedicated, representative cultural spaces.
The Legacy & The Why
My perspective is informed by a decade at the intersection of cultural identity and organizational strategy. What began as a deep dive into the ancestral stories of the diaspora has evolved into a practice dedicated to building the infrastructure for community belonging.
I believe that art is our collective cultural memory, and talent is our greatest organizational power. Today, my work is about more than curating space, it's about moving the mountains that stand between our lived experiences and the permanent homes our stories deserve.
When I’m not designing strategic frameworks or walking the gallery floor, you’ll find me in nature, practicing the quiet resilience required to lead a vision forward. I carry with me the joyful memory of my 4lb Yorkie, Gracie, who taught me that the most significant transformations often begin with the smallest, most courageous steps.
