Updated: Mar 27, 2021

Real Books Just Feel Better.

Now is the perfect time to read and real #books aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, thankfully.

There is nothing like flipping through the pages of a good book. It just feels good. To touch and feel the paper is said to provide deeper understanding and awareness of what you’re reading.

Getting comfy and cozy with a good book in bed is a great way to unwind, ease the mind and relax.

Who knew that reading can make you more empathetic. Well, according to research published in Science, literary fiction can help you comprehend what others are thinking by reading their emotions. “Understanding others’ mental states is a crucial skill that enables the complex social relationships that characterize human societies,” David Comer Kidd and Emanuele Castano.

And it’s no secret that reading activities will engage the mind enough to challenge the brain of a loved one living with Alzheimer's. Reading is a positive pattern interrupt that improves mental health.

The new normal of social distancing during the virus outbreak is the ideal time to enjoy reading a good book especially if it means sharing precious time with your children. Make it a fun learning opportunity. It’s the perfect time to immerse yourself in a good book.

I invite you to join my next Blog Talk Radio show in April. Listen and learn from a book on my shelf called,Your Life is Now! by author Marlene George. Stay tuned for more details.
